Safe Cycling
In 2001 about 5500 young cyclists were killed or injured in the
roads in the UK! It’s a terrible statistic but according to
“Think!” campaign it’s true. You must try to be road savvy –know
the etiquette on and off the road, use your common sense with your
clothing – i.e. wear something bright. The links below give loads
of advice and tips and well worth reading. Enjoy cycling and keep
healthy but try to keep safe too.

A guide to cycle safety
- Mark and register your
cycle! The purpose of this should deter thieves, help you
retrieve your bike if it gets taken and provides easy and quick way
of proving this bike is yours
- According to the
Home Office you can do this by marking your cycle in two
separate parts of your bike with your house number and
postcode.
