Neighbourhood Youth Forums

The Neighbourhood Youth Forums (NYF's) are a fantastic way for young people to have a  voice where they live.  Meetings are held in Brabourne and Smeeth, Little Burton Farm, Bethersden and Beaver Ward in partnership with local Parish Councils, Police Community Safety Officers (PCSO’s), Community Wardens and local Youth Workers. This way we can be sure meetings are taken seriously. With joined up thinking, action will be an outcome!

Young people from Brabourne, Hothfield, Beaver and Little Burton Farm went on a training weekend, March 2008, designed to help them in committee work, communication skills and team building.

It is hoped to start another five NYFs this year!

The latest areas covered will be Beaver Ward, Bethersden, Appledore or Wittersham. So look out for posters advertising a meeting and make sure you go along or email Carol Morton if you are interested in getting involved.
