Ashford offers some of the top sporting facilities in the County, including The Julie Rose Stadium, Tenterden Leisure Centre, Courtside, the Lottery funded multi use sports facility, and the Stour Centre which includes the newly refurbished state of the art swimming area. There is also a BMX Skate Park nearby.

The borough has over 100 sporting and leisure clubs offering a wide range of activities. Ashford has some of the best walks and cycling pathways in the South – East which combines health with some stunning views.

Many clubs have a youth section (4 – 18) which offer young people the opportunity to train, learn and compete with their peers.

Ashford Borough Council sports team encourage individuals and clubs to take part in training courses and support them whilst working with partner organisations such as Kent County Council’s Sports Development Unit, Kent County Council Youth Service and Charlton Athletic Football in the Community scheme.
