Schools and Revision

From the age of 14 there are lots of important decisions to make so that you can get the best out of your education. These decisions will be important to your career path, but don’t stress because there are lots of people and advice out there to help you.

Courses and Careers

Kent Futures, an online guide to career options for 14-19 year olds, should have all the information you need on courses, qualifications and training opportunities.

Direct.gov - Education has all the information you could ever wish for on the education choices you make, including some good information on subjects.

Connexions provide a wealth of information on their website for learning.

They also have a jobs live section for up to date information, visit Connexions - Kent Choices For U.

UKcoursefinder.com - you can log in and find all sorts of courses and universities in the UK.

Revision

There comes a time for everyone at school when it’s time to stop learning and start revising – exam time. Be it eleven-plus, GCSEs or A-Levels, we all have to take the tests at some point. So be prepared, and get the results you deserve.

First port of call for all your revision needs is definitely BBC Bitesize. They even have games you can play to help you revise!

S-Cool has some great advice for preparing for exams.

You can find useful past exam papers at Direct.gov.uk which are definitely worth a read.

But remember, it’s not just about what you know. It’s important to look after your health and your sanity in times of stress. Buzzin has a great guide to all you need to keep yourself on top form.
